Sorted!!
What you have is Illum Wikkelsø designed suite produced by M Laursen model 90.
It took me a little while to see it as your suite is totally F**KED and difficult to see the lines for BUT the legs gave it away.
The suite should have sprung cushions in the seat over FAGAS elstic springs which are difficult to source.
I am in talks with the Danish makers but they are difficult to persuade!!
The images below give you the sofa as it should look.
worth getting it restored as you will have a great suite.
To fix the seat use pirreli webbing with the metal clips inserted into the frame.

not sure about wikkelso
the sofa images you sent appear to be definitely a match but when I look up wikkelso model 90 (ml-90)I get a completely different wikkelso sofa with a totally different leg arrangement than the one in your picture post.

It seems to be model number...
It seems to be model number 140. Same designer and same manufacturer though.

yep ...
yep ... looks like you are correct brbeard. i noticed on a lot of websites that the ML 90 and ML 140 are confused with each other but my own research results agree with yours.
"shout out" to simon for figuring this out!!! credit is all yours. i spun off of your designer/maker information simon in my search for the chairs and came up with these in the following link. does anyone agree that these chairs have the same bones underneath its ploofy upholstery?

Thank You Simon and All Others
Thank you Simon for solving my riddle!! I never imagined I'd have the answers of designer and maker this soon if ever!
Thank you Danish Pastry for all of the effort and time you
put in as well; you are a true design addict :). And thank you to all others.
It looks like the pair of chairs on Lauritz.com (with the "ploofy" upholstery) could definitely be the ones when you consider that my chairs (the blue ones) have caved in foam under the upholstery and therefore fabric that is now resting on the bones after possibly 50 years of wearing its original upholstery. If these are indeed the chairs, would they also
be ML-140 like the sofa?
Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Danish pastry
Is very tasty but tends to hang around the midriff too long!!
Anyway jokes aside.
it may be that the model number can be BOTH ML90 and 140 although the frame is absolutely the same.
Here is the same sofa with the matching chair but on the cross over legs.
Until i find a difinitive advert that shows the numbers the jury will be out!
