I think this is a wing back chair, and I think that the wood
on the legs structure is teak. There's some distinct black
wood grain in the legs when you look at it up real close, but
I think it would have to be more black grain than that to be rosewood (not sure, please advise). I have two of these chairs and the matching sofa. They all need reupholstering.
The removable cushions in the sofa have metal spring structures in them. So do the cushions and backs on everything else. I would love to know who made them. I've searched the web for a while and have not found an exact match yet. Thanks for any help you can give.
either klein or adrian pearsall
yeah looks like like the klein tubchair in a lotta ways but I think it's probably one of Pearsall's designs. !!!!looks like a cat or more like a 'lion' got a hold of it!!!!!
can you tell me more about it?
better get them things in outta the rain :):):):):)
might be a knoll chair
check out this link

says it has knoll fabric, don't know if knoll's the maker.
the legs on this chair and your chairs seem to be an
exact match
Thanks. Here's a Little More Info.
Thanks all for the observations and advise on possible
makers. Each leg structure on the chair is fastened via
two original flat head screws -- i.e., left side legs is fastened with two flat heads, and right side likewise.
The sofa has very old Fagas straps that say on each strap,
" Fagas
Patent App.
Made in Denmark "
Each strap is either badly stretched to the point of
no good, or broken. I did not include a picture of
the sofa earlier; here's a picture of it.
thanks spanky, hey arcemigor
thanks spanky. i never mentioned the phrase danish modern.
i was basing my own assumption on other company facts that they sited in the about section of their website -- facts about how and where they acquired their inventory. i know there's still a margin for error. hey arcemigor, I will keep my eyes peeled.
Thanks Sillyrabbit
Thanks for your reply. Still no luck on finding the maker
through a seller -- but good advice. The Fagas straps on the sofa are very old and say "Made in Denmark on them. They've totally lost their strength integrity. You can actually stretch-break them very easily now and even rip-break them.
I'm wondering if Fagas straps back then (I estimate the 50s) were distributed in all parts of the world -- back when there was little technology.
