I am always chasing floor lamps, and a few Thurston designed Lightolier table lamps. I picked up these two, Colony Premier brand, table lamps over the weekend.
I am taking a real liking to the warm amber glow the shades have. My girl says they are "very formal" and I thought I would pass them on to a buyer, that is after the formal look.
On second thought, they give the living room a fun evening glow. Lamps are so often used this time of year, and I think this was a real good buy. Anyone know who designed for them? These have the fat cat east coast MCM look.
So how many of you think these are cool?
The bases are painted brass
The bases are painted brass, with some polished surfaces showing. The centers are slim and tasteful. The colony Premier company sold out of NYC and Chicago, but I know nothing about them.
I feel like David Lynch could use them in his next movie, with velvet drapes!
These look to be of good...
These look to be of good quality and have an interesting look
to them. They would not fit in my house currently. But if I had them at a good price I would enjoy them for awhile and then pass them on. Someone out there has the perfect room for them. And they are certainly better than any lamp of this style that can be had at any dept store now days. I don't know anything about the company though.
