Posts on this forum get way, way, WAY more hits than replies. All the time. So 130 views with no replies is getting started!
I would stick with all wood, no cane or upholstered backs to compete with the visual texture of the cork. Seat material could vary since it's gonna be tucked under either the table or someone's posterior at all times.
Other than that, I have no opinion, at least not until I see more examples. I'm not that great at coming up with ideas myself.

Thanks Spanky!
Those are good suggestions - you're right that all wood would probably look cleaner/less cluttered/less competing - I'm going to be doing a lot of browsing in the coming weeks...
Yes, I've noticed that about this forum. I wonder if there are many "lurkers" wanting to learn but hesitant to offer their own opinions - I know I'm usually one!

Well then...
Perhaps the Knoll Riccio chair?

Yes, those are nice
and had caught my eye browsing online just now - thanks Mark! Here's the other question: do you know if they're comfortable?
I like that the back is open, which is what I like most about the back of the uncomfortable Frankl wood chairs.
In a similar vein, anyone have thoughts about the following?
#1 - anonymous, rosewood
#2 - simple Moller chairs (too casual for the table?)

I Love
the Moller chairs, and they're very comfortable, but I just think it's too many differing materials for your table.
I can't help thinking black chairs are the best route.

Robert, I see your point - the chairs need to be sleek and simple and not take away from the interest of the table.
Mark - I'm glad they are comfortable - thanks!

What about these...
Moller chairs with the table - or similar, in dark wood?

I had a set of those and can attest to their comfort. (I traded them for a set of the Mollers that you posted uphthread, teak with cord seats, equally comfortable. I'm a Moller fan!)

Meh.
Do not like the table to begin with sorry! Looks like clear coated MDF. I think the above chairs are much more sophisticated, and will make that table look blocky and clumsy in comparison. Something equally chunky would be more appropriate in my opinion. You asked 🙂

Haha -
yes, ID Guy, I asked! That's ok - I'm all for honest opinions! But it's true that I'm attracted to chairs that are a little more streamlined than the table. The longer I live with the Frankl chairs (posted in the first pic) the fussier they look to me.
Spanky - thanks again for chiming in. I'm very glad to know that model was comfortable too since it's possible I'd be buying remotely again. Since you are a Moller fan, have you ever tested out the following, and if so what do you think for comfort (and looks) with the table?
Thank you again for your always entertaining thoughts!

Oddly, I set of the Glenn of California. If you think that might be what you are looking for I'd gladly send you pics and cut you a nice deal as a fellow DA'r
EDIT: And I think you need to go a little hollywoodish with that table. A bit RITZ. Most of the chairs suggested are too subtle. Just my Opin.

Analysis paralysis
I knew it would hit me eventually.
Thanks for commenting Waffle. (I like those Glenn of CA chairs, but now not sure if they're right... Im going to have to spend some time with photoshop this weekend.)
Ritzy is an intriguing idea... though I might not be able to pull it off in my humble craftsman bungalow! So does Hollywood ritzy mean Panton cone chairs, or something art deco-esque like Brno chairs (tho not sure about the chrome - I get sort of luxe-earthy vibe from the table).

well
the glenn of ca. are hollywoodish. That west coast...what to call it...brashness. Without being obnoxious (later Milo Baughman, as an example)
again, I will gladly send pics you can PLUG into PShop

Actually, I had the exact chairs in the your next-to-last photo but they are essentially the same as the ones above. Except the ones above have the pointy upper ends on the legs and I was worried about getting bruises on the backs of thighs if people didn't aim their butts exactly right when sitting down. Silly, maybe!
The last Moller you posted I think would look better with the table. Other than that, i kinda agree with waffle (?)---you need something bolder with that table.
