Thanks, now I have one more bench design that I want but will probably never have. It's such a simple, well-executed concept, I'm surprised that similar designs weren't made during the same era (this applies for the Risom bench as well).
Can anyone recommend a good alternate to either the Kirkegaard or Risom benches?

Funny that you mentioned that, because this is the one bench that I have previously seen that is the most similar to the Kirkegaard ones. While Mogensen certainly has a more prestigious name than Kirkegaard, and the bench is a nice design, there is something about both Kirkegaard benches that appeals to me even more. Looking through Lauritz archives over the last few years, the similar Kirkegaard chairs have had fairly low hammer prices that would allow for reasonable overall costs for shipping to the US.
