This cabinet is labeled Widdicomb, but I have inherited a bedroom set which is this design exactly. ( well mine is better the finger pulls are brass, lol) My mother called her furniture blonde wood. The piece in the photo looks like the men's style, see the hangers, that is where there would be a rod that extends out to hold ties. ( I played with it a lot as a kid) My set was produced by John Stuart (NY and Grand Rapids)
Well the furniture is still full, so I was only able to find the burned in STuart label on a drawer.Did Gibbings work for both companies? Do I have a "knock-off"? I was so excited when I thought we owned a Gibbings furniture set from the late 1940'. The nighttables have that brass handle like other Gibbings pieces.

Sorry about my "look what I have posts" no one i know understands the thrill of figuring out the designer of these items... my boyfriend eyes go blank, a friend can't wait till i change the subject. My son (11) says he knows no one who looks at furniture so much.
