clothing and products...what's the difference
I do not see why a designer would not pay as much attention to clothing as we expect from others for products or for interiors etc. This does not mean that designers more than anybody else should feel compelled to wear what is expected from her or him. But expressing oneself through all the "components" of the material world we surround us with is one of the great priviledges of our time and culture. In fact those who try to hide their identity behind burkas or english school uniforms have the tendency to tell more about themselves than those who use their clothing properly to express, hide, enhance or embellish what they really are. So I am as suspicious as Gerrit is, everytime I see a designer or someone else with the exact tatoo or other clothing that is expected from him or her and wonder....who is the real person in that military outfit...

surely its up to the individual to choose how they want to appear? after all if you are quiite happy to be overweight thats fine by me.

1. Make your own choices rather than wear a socially accepted uniform is precisely what I was saying. Please re-read my post for clarity.
2. You are totally unqualified, since you've never met me, to judge whether or not I am indeed overweight, or, if I am, whether or not I am happy with it or desperately miserable.
