To Patrick, Alix and all, I encourage all to read the approximately last third of the thread "Tables Tables Tables". I personally find homophobic rhetoric to be entirely reprehensible and am calling for a ban of virtueaudio from this forum. It is my understanding that this site is not a public soap box where hate speech is protected. It seems a clear violation of the users agreement and apparently this is not the first time (cite?). I would hope for a further block of the users source so that they could not come back under another name.

Well I was going to come to virtueaudios defence in an odd sort of way, I wasn't personally offended, perhaps I'm too over the hill to care and younger folk seem to throw these gay terms around pretty commonly, I don't think they think beyond the urge to insult someone.
But after his most recent comments (its hard not to respond in kind) I reluctantly agree. But if Patrick and Alix just want to give him a warning or just let it go or kick him off its no skin off my nose.
But it is unfortunate that a thread that has some of the best comments on art and desgn I've ever read here or on any other forum has just turned pretty sour, perhaps it could have gone on further to the benefit of everyone, once a thread gets poisonous though no one really wants to participate anymore.

There was a good reason to place this rule in first position. We will not accept any hate speech on Design Addict. Virtueaudio's comments are intolerable and what makes us even more angry is that they have contaminated one of the most interesting threads in recent months.
So we have removed the messages and the legitimate reactions that they have provoked in the thread "Tables Tables Tables" to preserve this interesting discussion.
We have also contacted Virtueaudio to clarify our position.
