Design of Jacobsen Egg Chair Ottoman (Footstool) Question  

I am trying to find an ottoman that properly pairs with my original 1966 Jacobsen Egg
Chair.
I understand the design of the chair's column and base has changed over the product's lifetime to accommodate tilt, auto-return, etc.
However, does anyone know if, and when, the design of the footstool has changed over the years as has the chair's column and base? Or will a relatively new Fritz Hanseln footstool be a proper match for my 1966 chair?
