UNDESIGNABLE - New Design Fair in Berlin
November 2007 11-17
Hangar 2, Airport Berlin-Tempelhof, Columbiadamm 10, 12101 Berlin
Preview: 10. November
On November 11, 2007, Berlin sees its first European design fair
UNDESIGNABLE.
60 galleries and dealers from all over Europe will present their
finest 20th century design pieces at Berlin's historical airport
Tempelhof (Hangar 2). The UNDESIGNABLE fair shows a wide choice of
objects, e.g. exquisite genuine furniture, lamps, jewellery and
decorative pieces from plastic, glass or ceramics.
Design aficionados attracted to last century's period from the 40s to
the 70s may find their own dream piece, or just browse and enjoy the
stylish variety of these decades. Works of famous designers as Jean
Prouvé, Arne Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames or Joe Colombo will be
on show at the exhibition area that expands to some 2,000 sqm. Most
of the dealers and galleries from the Netherlands, from Spain and
France will present their treasures for the very first time in Berlin.
Following the successful start in Dutch design Mecca Eindhoven in May
this year UNDESIGNABLE aims at establishing a second location in
Berlin, and add to the city's multifaceted design scene as a
periodical event.
Professional visitors, dealers and press may preview UNDESIGNABLE on
November 10, 2007, starting at 16 hrs. The fair opens its gates for
the public on November 11, from 11 through 17 hrs (Admission: 5 Euro).
UNDESIGNABLE is organised by Reistad-Serrault Events (Paris/Oslo).
