Kind of maximalist kitsch...
Is it by Jeff Koons alter ego Jay Koonsby?

Aminal Modern...
I don't disagree that the use of natural state animal bits is antithetical to modern. Heck one of the precepts of modern is honesty of materials. Like LRF I love the southwest but don't want to 'go native' with all the adobe and blanket weaving. I have a cowhide rug in my living area that sits with the Neil Bendsten Neo Sofa, two Wassily chairs and a no-name coffe table I got at Target. It looks perfect..wouldn't want a woven rug ther at all.

James:
Get out the hole saw -- looks like there's a place at the end of the arm for the Big Gulp/Giant Squishee holder. . .
This hunk of a chair is only excused in the context of a matching interior. It might be the latter-day (and inferior) version of the overscaled rustic pieces, sometimes made of peeled logs and boards and branches, that were made for the lobbies and lounges of some western National Park lodges in the twenties and thirties.
Here are some exterior-use examples that I like:

Wouldn't this make a great mate for the chair?
It offers real counterpoint.

Isn't it simply awful?
Its the furniture equivalent of watching someone play tennis extremely poorly.
