I'm asking for myself and for, I think, the majority of Design Addicts.
I unwisely started the thread two years ago thinking it would be an esoteric exercise to collect the MA numbers. But now when people google M@hogany Association, they find the thread and post to it thinking we'll appraise the worth of their pieces. They're not posting because they care about this forum, they don't even read the thread...they just hope for a quick appraisal of their furniture.
As Riki said, the thread's become like herpes. It keeps coming back, and everyone hates it, especially me.
For the group and for me, please delete the thread.

Brent I have not opened the Mahogany thread since it was new. I do not own any mahogany and just assumed when the thread was bumped to the top that a regular poster was informing us of a new find.

This reminds me of how entertainers used to greet one another with their failed lyrics or punch lines. The failed joke, gag or song became the inside calling card among the group.
I am not sure how to combine the VP-wood number, but I am sure someone will coin a witty phrase.

One can write a doctoral thesis at a mahogany desk and it wont make the "desk" a PhD candidate. McCain camp policy advisers can infuse a VP with every campaign position and catchphrase the campaign can drum up, it still wont make an unqualified VP choice into Presidential timber.
