Hi,
I found this nice chair in Hamburg Germany.
The base is made by Ring Norway. I read that Miller or Jacobsen used Ring bases?
Does anybody know anything?
Thank you in advance
Micha

"Ring Mobelfabrickk"
I've done heaps of research into "Ring Mobelfabrikk" to help answer my swan chair dilemma (still a mystery!).
http://www.designaddict.com/design_addict/forums/index.cfm/fuseaction/th...
When you search also include "Ring Mobelfabrik" because they often leave out the extra 'k' in the description
I can confirm that they definitely did supply bases for Eames chairs to the Euro Herman Miller branch (see below link)
But I think this was only one of the many manufacturers they supplied for (as in your case). That's where my problem is, having an Arne Jacobsen/Fritz Hansen chair with a Ring Mobelfabrikk (possibly Herman Miller) base!
Hope that helps. If you can solve my dilemma, life would be good indeed!

they also...
produced tilting mechanisms for danish recliners, always finished with a black ball for easy handling.
I believe even Gio Ponti's design for cassina (made for the Principei hotel) uses this patented system.
