Mark Weinstein?
It looks more like a Mark Weinstein piece to me. He used those brass cut-off pieces in his sculptures a lot. Look up Mark Weinstein or "Marc Creates".
I have had Grossman pieces that looked like Bertoia spray sculptures, but I've not seen one like yours marked Grossman. Though that does not mean that it's not by him. It seems that a lot of the sculptors/ studios that were making decorative sculptures and functional pieces used similar materials and borrowed styles liberally from one another. A lot of pieces by the Jere studio, Weinstein, Grossman, Silas Seandel and others that were sold by Artisan House often have a very similar aesthetic.
If you like it that is the most important thing. I think it is a cool piece.
I emailed Mark Weinstien
Thank you Pegboard. I emailed "Marc Creates" and Mark's son Boyd responded. Boyd says his father made the sculpture thirty to forty years ago. It is called "Watts of Weeds" and can be found in the brochure in the link below.

I also found a similar sculpture on Google image search from an auction in Saint Louis. The sculpture was sold as Jere style, but considering the auction was held in Saint Louis, and Mark Weinstien made his sculptures in Saint Louis.
I am going to conclude although not identical to the photo in the brochure of "watts of weeds". The sculpture I bought is a Mark Weinstein piece.
Thank you again.
