Hiya, I seem to keep coming across Dansk pieces which are being listed and sold as vintage and their not as they are in the current catalogue. I was given a piece a couple days ago shown in the photo below and wonder how to date it. I've seen a couple mentioned online but they didn't have the bowls so I'm not even sure if the bowls go with the wooden piece or not. The bottom is marked "Dansk Design Denmark IHQ"

I believe
All the more recent teak pieces are made in Thailand, but I'm not sure exactly when that started.

Woody would they be marked...
Woody would they be marked saying Thailand then? I honestly have nothing to go on other than the stamp on the bottom.

I would bet that the bowls go with it. I had a similar vintage Dansk server that came with bowls.
Dansk teak was first made in Denmark, I think--later Japan and then Thailand, I think. Not positive.
I do know that the earliest Dansk was marked with swimming ducks. This mark is often hard to make out if the marking tool didn't make perfect contact.

In the case of this one the...
In the case of this one the bowls are not marked and if there were a third it'd have to be much smaller than the two end ones as they won't fit in the narrow part of the bowl.
The design stamp is fairly clear but the "s" in Designs got cut off and there are definitely no ducks.
It's a solid piece of wood for sure and heavy.
