I'm looking to buy a mid-century modern daybed. The styles I'm leaning toward are the Hans Wegner adjustbale daybed with the back piece that rises, and the Hvidt & Molgaard/Soborg Mobelfabrik daybed with the teak and caning. I've also seen a France and Daverkosen teak and caning sofa/daybed on ebay...the only drawback to that one is the red upholstery. My current sofa is red and I want to get away from the red. The one on ebay is in almost pristine condition with original upholstery. IMHO, it would be a crime to buy it only to re-upholster it when the upolstery is already so nice and original.
Below is the link for the France & Daverkosen sofa on ebay so you can have a better understanding of my tastes:

Anywho, those are the styles I am leaning toward. I was hoping you all might have some other options for me. I'm doing alot of research before I actually buy. I would need a daybed/sofa with a darker patina. I have a rosewood sideboard and a walnut coffee table so the daybed would need to be rosewood, walnut, or a darker teak. My area rug is cream, brown, and biege so I'm leaning toward perhaps a neutral color upholstery on the daybed.
The one thing I do not want is a daybed with no back cushions. This is to be used as a sofa so back cushions are a must. I also don't want anything with leather...so no Barcelona daybed.
Any suggestions?
Oh, and I want a vintage...
Oh, and I want a vintage piece not a remake of the original. If I'm going to pay out the dough, then I want to spend my money on an original one made in the 50s-60s. It's often just as expensive to buy a remake as it is to buy an original anyway so why not buy the original.
