I was just down at a second hand shop and pounced on a suite of Dining chairs that were on first look pretty fine, I even barked MINE to someone walking past...on closer inspection they had a red and white round sticker saying Damish Design but next to it a Made in Phillipnes sticker.

They looked Early 70's, late 60's, sort of Gplan but finer workmanship in a very heavy timber that looked tarted up as rosewood. 2 carvers and 4 armless, quality was good but not astounding, still all sound. I passed on them but am curious now, any ideas?

Same thing in Thailand...
I've come across many pieces marked with a Scandinavian Design Guild(?? something or other)tag alongside a "Made in Thailand" sticker. Seemed like mostly from the late 60's and 70's with decent quality.

What a coincidence
Today I ran on an estate sale into 3 beautiful looking teak candle holders and a tray. I was tempted but on the bottum I found "made in the phillipines".
I found on Youtube the next video. Doesn't really gives you more info but I like to honor Phil Collins: he announced today that he quits the music business.
