I purchased this chair years ago with a large hole in the caned back. Didn't realize at the time that I could have had it repaired. I had thought perhaps to add strapping but never did figure out how to go about it. Recently heard of someone in Port Townsend who could do this.......My question is in regards to the manufacturer of this chair. I see there is a current post of a Hornsae chair that looks 'almost identical' but on close inspection I see that it is different that mine. Does anyone have any information on this. I thought it might be the same manufacturer but done for the American market?? Any ideas?
Looks pretty Danish to me
but not Wegner. It does look a lot like the Hornaes chair that you see a lot.
Anyone who does decent caning should be able to do this, especially with photos of what it's supposed to look like (see the thread linked below).

According to jesgord who has the same chair. And jesgord has a lot of catalogs so I would not bet against him if I valued my money.

I guess it would help if I would send the pictures of the chair from my previous post. It may almost be the longest day of the year but apparently my lights are dimming... I need to know how to remove the brass disks that hold the caned back to the chair frame. What tool will remove them??
