I did my Google image search, and viewed all coffee tables in the DK index, but I don't see this table. It's for sale, and I'd like to know something before I go the distance. The pix stink but maybe someone can id the mark anyway. It looks like the cane is messed up but the guy says it's not, but he's just trying to make a buck. Thanks for any help.

I had a lovely Svend & Madsen
or Svend Aage Madsen dressing table a while back. Beautiful piece. It didn't have the SH stamp though as I believe it was an earlier piece. I tried to find out more info on the designer but had no luck. There are a few pieces of his work on Deconet (see link)

Important Amendment
The surfboard table I posted at the top does not bear the mark of Hansen or any other designer or maker!
The seller who supplied both of the photos at top of thread might have been using a bait and switch technique, but not sure. He was selling off a room full of Danish left behind by his son and he said that image must have related to a piece he already sold (grrrrr!) But I bought it-- and another smaller table, see below where I have rephotographed the surfboard table as well. Yes, I renegotiated the price.
I really value this board, and don't want anyone to be led astray. So here I am back in the dark with this furniture!
Indeed the table needs to be recaned, and it looks like a simple weave, so I might give it a go myself.
That is a lovely desk you sold Mr. Poole. I don't think these pieces (especially the small one) are particularly distinctive, but they're fine.

hope you got a good deal,...
hope you got a good deal, how much did you pay in the end?
they seem quality pieces to me, be it rather generic designs.

Right again Mr. Poole!
Hovmand-Olsen it appears to be. I found a ringer for the side table, and a smaller version of the surfboard table both attributed to Hovmand-Olsen.
The pair cost $150 and he threw in a pretty nice Danish bedstand that looks good from the front, but the veneer is peeling off the back panel.
Nothing to boast about but seemed okay to me. I still have to recane, but now I now that the existing pattern is correct.
