I purchased this rocker today, marked Made In Yugoslavia. Any ideas?

Yugo
Well...
It's nice....reminds me of Wegner. I heard at one time Hans Wegner "outsourced" or licensed to Yugoslavian makers. Who knows?

The Yugoslavians must be crazy for Hans Wegner.
Over the years, I've pounced upon at least three (of what appeared to be Wegner) folding chairs in thrift shops, only to discover...alas... that they were marked "made in Yugoslavia".

I've seen a bunch of those
and the weaving is never as nice as on a Danish chair. The wood often has a brittle lacquer finish, or maybe varnish---usually not an oil finish. And the joints tend to wobble. They're almost ok, but not quite.
