It's lovely, but it ain't teak
I think it is walnut..and probably American made.
the drawers are Arne Vodder in style..the paint is really nice too

west michigan furniture co.
founded in 1889, the west michigan furniture co. was the first large-scale commercial furniture manufacturer in holland, michigan - also the first local factory to convert to electric lights. it closed in 1975 - still being run by the descendents of the original founders. i still have a west michigan furniture queen anne bedroom set that my parents bought in the 1940s - moved from mich to ga to ca and back, very sturdy stuff that still looks great.
