Where are you located in the world? It doesn't look very Danish to me. There are some Danish pieces that are heavier and chunkier but that's really heavy and chunky! I like it but I would say it's more inspired by American Adirondack chairs, to which I'm also very partial. The angles and proportions are similar and mostly it's the way the sides of the seat extend to form the back legs, all in one line.
Thanks Spanky. I live in Denmark and bought the chair here, hence my thinking possibly Danish or at least Scandinavian. Now that I physically have the chair rather than seeing pictures it feels too weighty to be Danish but I don't know. I get what you're saying about Adirondack chairs (I'm a fan too - one of the first things I ever made was one) and there's even something of Mission furniture about it. Basically it's a conundrum.
