Hi there.
Next week I'm going to Miami Beach for a few days. I really like Art Deco but I truly love everything mid century modern. Is there by chance any MCM buildings/houses or perhaps vintage shops worth visiting?
I've googled but without much luck. All I've found is a street called Mid Century Row that has 4-5 vintage design shops.
Any tips for nice places to eat will also be much appreciated 🙂
Miami
Have not yet made it down there myself, but here is a recent Times article from when Art Basel was in town (may have to cut & paste the link).

Art Basel was great this year.
But the Design District is not in Miami Beach (aka South Beach), but instead is located in Miami. I drive down from Palm Beach once or so a month to dine with a friend, and usually end up strolling through the Lincoln Road (outdoor) Mall (and I'm NOT a mall person). I can usually find decent food, bizarre locals, mid-mod street vendors, and a stiff drink. I believe that when Killian recently visited, he found a few stores that I had never discovered. The Knoll/ Herman Miller/ etc showroom is in the DCOTA Building (design center of the america's)...which is 15 minutes to the North. Maybe I'll drive down to South Beach for dinner tonight, and sniff around.
Travel safe,
Your Aunt Mark
