I have a Curtis Jere sculpture made from wood and brass. It has 12 human forms, each 4ins tall, all welded together at different points. The wood is 7.5ins X 14.75ins X 1.5ins thick. I don't see the usual C. Jere mark on this piece however I see a large 1 carved into the wood on the verso. I also has a brittle piece of masking tape going across the bottom of the wood verso.
I am trying to find the age and any other important information. Why the 1 on the wood.
