Not to discredit the DWR's of the world, but I am looking for NEW design. I am hopeful someone can turn me on to current furniture design. Is their a designer or design group that you follow? Is there a retail store that sells the new classics that I crave?
Thanks for your consideration
P.S. I am happy I am not a robot

How do you know you crave new design if you haven't seen it yet?
I'm really glad you're not a robot too. I guess….
PS If you are talking retailers, isn't Crate and Barrell chock full of that stuff? And West Elm? And lest we not forget all the places dotting the landscape that sell "live edge" wood tables on wrought iron legs…

One way to start finding good new design would be to do a Google search for something like:
"design award" furniture
Visiting the sites thus found, and following links from them to designer and manufacturer sites, should provide many hours of fruitful exploration.
Or you could just keep an eye on whatever Konstantin Grcic is doing. I'm pretty sure that he'll be responsible for some of this generation's classics.

If you do a little research as fastfwd suggested you'll find that there are a number of good smaller regional designer/manufactures out there. I like some of the Garza Marfa pieces including the live edge coffee table/bench on a wrought iron base. Another is Blu Dot, although they've been around for awhile. ten10site also offers a nice balance of new and old designs including authorized reproductions of few of Eugene Weston's vintage designs and Daniel Wenger chairs ... all on wrought iron legs.
Cheap "modern classic" knockoffs crowd Ebay these days. Most of us who read and contribute to this forum are not interested in inexpensive copies of vintage classics.
