I have a window detail in my 1958 modernist house here in the Pacific Northwest that is similar to the
mitered windows FLW & others have used.
The old single pane glass in the rest of the house is been updated and I'm trying to find a glass supplier who could produce a 90 degree corner glass
window that is thermopane. Going to a thicker glass and won't solve the problem - I'll still get condensation and the R factor of glass is very low so it's got to be thermopane.
My link to the FLW Zimmerman house will show you the type of window I have. These windows are superb for unobstructed views and I'd like to keep the look original without mullions etc can anyone offer advice ?

It is quite a challenge...
but it can be done. I can not help you with the address of someone that can do it although I would know where to go in this part of the country.
I would forget about mitering it because it does not add anything to the clear view. You will always see the joint and a 90 degree angle joint is less glued surface than the 45 degrees when it is mitered. Because of the thermopane you have to glue a strip of thicker glass there were normally there would be an aluminum of plastic profile (between the two sheets of glass)One the strip in place the three sheets should be grinded and polished together. It is not difficult for someone who can make thermopane, The key is to find someone willing to do it.
