You will soon need a license from the copyright holder to take a photograph of any copyrighted object in the UK, pertinent to us that would include all modern designer furniture:

If this were actually enforced it would be virtually impossible to sell anything MCM in the UK. Imagine having to track down Arne Jacobsen's heirs to negotiate a payment for a license to photograph the Swan chair you want to sell.
I have to imagine this law will never actually come into force, but apparently it is already done, except for deciding how long to delay implementation.
