Hi,
Found this chair at a thrift store for $5. It has wool fabric upholstery. The wood frame does need to be refinished as you can tell in the pics.... Any ID???
thanks,
Lovely chair--
but who was the original owner-- a coal miner? Fortunately, those grubby arms are easily cleaned.
Sure looks similar to the chairs in the "Help Identifying Danish Modern Chair" thread (Ib Kofod-Larsen)--
And, where are there thrift shops that sell chairs & loveseats for $5-$10? Not even Salvation Army sells that cheap.
thanks for the replies
The 928s4 is a fun car on weekends... I live in Paso Robles, California, and we have about 200 wineries in a 30 mile radius, with fun twisty roads nearby. Also, great to cruise up scenic highway 1 past Hearst Castle to Monterey/Camel area....
Unfortuately, the thrift store where I got the chair burnt to the ground recently. There are a number of good backups to shop like Goodwill. Not to much folks around here into Mid Century Modern... Other examples of things I picked up cheap. Chair $9.99, and nightstand from 1959 $29.99 Goodwill finds....
