Hi everyone, just found the forum and thought what an ideal place to share some of my new creations. My name is Joseph McCaughern and I design and create loads of unique benches and desks with hairpin legs. I'm kind of addicted to the look of anything with hairpins so at the minute I'm focusing on widening my range. I have just attached a picture of a computer desk that I made at the weekend to let everyone have a look. I'm hopefully going to have a similar tv bench made this weekend with some hairpins to match so I will post a picture of it up to for everyone to see.
Cheers
Joe

Is that text actually written
on the chair or is this a clever ad for your business?

I like the
legs, but wouldn't they have a better retro feel (if that is you intention) -- and be kinder to floor surfaces -- if there was a little round foot at the bottom ?

Yeah I was thinking of...
Yeah I was thinking of adding a little ball to each leg or a small plate but I thought I'd go for a more clean line approach or I might switch back to the normal hairpins with the rounded foot.

Well, to me this does look...
Well, to me this does look an awful lot like an advertisement and as far as I know, it is still not allowed on the board.

Vintage hairpin legs
often had plastic clip-on glides.
I found his website very easily by searching for that phrase on the chair. I probably wouldn't have thought to do that except that it looked very conspicuously photoshopped into the picture, which seemed odd.
