I have three in my office at...
I have three in my office at work and they are quite comfortable, with a nice amount of bounce to them. I've always viewed them as office furniture. The padded armrests certainly would add comfort to a home environment.

I use four Mies van der Rohe, "stainless steel" flat bar Brno without armpads for Knoll Studio® around my Gae Aulenti, Tour table for Fontana Arte on a daily basis. They are great.
I prefer the Poul Kjærholm, PK20 leather and chrome steel chairs for Fritz Hansen to the Barcelona. They are very comfortable.
