Clive Bacon Stacking Chair - whats your thoughts?

I dont think these chairs have featured on the forum before, so I thought I would share...
They were designed by Clive Bacon in 1961 and manufactured by Design Furnishing Contracts in the UK, Winners of a Design Council Award in 1963. They are made from Beech and did have Polyvinyl seats which I have had reupholstered - just wondering what you think? all comments appreciated

For me theyr'e the kind of chair more worthy of respect than love or delight.
Similar to the Coventry cathedral chair by Russell and the Montreal chair by Otto.

Yes I Agree
Yes from what I know they were/are used in church halls, community centres etc economical seating and easy stacking for storage, I do like them though
