I know that there are quite a few Knoll experts out there
in the DA community and I was wondering if anyone could help out.
I was recently told that Clement Meadmore had designed pieces for Knoll
In the 60's and/or 70's. I have not found any documentation to confirm this but I am interested to hear if anyone else could shed light on this matter.
Thank for your time.
Cheers,
Tick.
I was about to write
"Tick will probably know the answer, he's a big Meadmore fan," but then I saw who was asking...
Anyway, I've never seen any Meadmore pieces for Knoll. They had such good luck with Bertoia, though, that I guess they MIGHT have tried producing another sculptor's furniture. If no one here knows for sure, a call to Knoll would of course answer the question definitively.
Thanks fastfwd
Thanks fastfwd. It seems unlikely that Meadmore would have designed pieces without it being common knowledge. I will take your advice and contact Knoll via email.
Have a great weekend.
cheers,
Tick.
P.S. This is a Sling Chair designed by Meadmore and made
by Leiff Wessman Associates of New York in 1963.
