I have a black Herman Miller side shell that needs to be cleaned up a little, no stains to say just some dirt that needs to come out. What are your suggestions?

No one? I just don't want to fuck the foam up and want to make sure I'm doing it right.

hmmm.
You can use almost any form of upholstery cleaner, however, make sure to use just the suds/foam that is created when you mix the solution.
The key is to not saturate the material with the solution. Blessings

how expensive do you think that is or do you think it's something I could do myself being that it's not an arm chair which would make it more tricky.

it can be more difficult then you think .
you must grind all the old glue off with a grinder , then re foam, put fabric on with spray glue. Stretch fabric after you cut your pattern, as you will want to sew the middle seams in the fabric to give the proper look. Put crimp cord on and cut extra fabric on the underside. If you think that is easy go for it. otherwise give me a call.
