Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with cleaning the metal on an authentic Barcelona chair? I'm considering purchasing a pair of these chairs, but the metal does not look polished and cleaned. I'm wondering if it's possible to bring the metal back to life. The cushions are in pretty good shape, but the chairs just don't look right with the dull metal.

try these
joshlamiel,
I use either Wenol or Simichrome to polish "high quality" metal surfaces.

Do you think this is beyond repair?
Or can I bring this back to life?

If it is solid stainless you ...
If it is solid stainless you have plenty of options. Just a question of how much time and energy you want to invest. (A magnet will not stick to many varieties of stainless).
If it is chrome, I really couldn't tell you.

Cleaning Stainless steel/Chrome
I have cleaned my pieff chrome framed sofa that had a bit of pitting with scrunched up silver foil with a little water and Jiff.Came up a treat.The foil will not scratch the surface .Test a bit before just so you know its going to work.
