So I've been dying to ID this guy for a long time, any help is much appreciated:
Heavy chrome-plated steel chair with thin wire spindles welded as support along the back. Ottoman has same gauge wires welded horizontally. Cushions were nasty when I found it so I recovered in Knoll Cato and tried to match the original cushions exactly. Have only ever seen one other chair with these exact wire supports, definitely same designer but totally different outer frame design.

Don't know who designed your chair and ottoman, but it looks very 1970s to me. Is it well made and finely detailed (perhaps Italian as others suggest) ? Or kind of light and thinly made (maybe American made). Either way, it's not a well known design. But if it's comfortable and you like it, that's really all that matters, right?
To be honest, I'm more curious about the chrome based sling chair to the right of your chair in the photo (with the pillows in the seat). It kind of looks like a metal Falcon chair, but maybe not. The little "arm" confuses me. I'm curious. Care to share more about that one?

That is indeed a steel falcon chair. They were made for only a few years due to the high cost of manufacturing, but I have a feeling you knew that. But yes, it does have arms, somewhat unusual but not super rare. Better detail of the arms can be seen on this one:

What I'd like to know is which method of attachment to the frame is earlier-- some Falcon chairs have leather straps and a horizontal slit in the frame, while some have 2 holes and metal hooks.
Getting back to the chrome chair, yes it is extremely heavy and well-made. The cylinders are hollow but all the rest of the chair is solid chrome-plated steel, including the flat bar sections, contrary to Milo Baughman's flat bar designs for Thayer-Coggin, many of which are hollow.

I concur with the others that it's fairly unusual for an American chair to be constructed so solidly, but I'm not ruling out that it's American. Yes it's comfortable, but I've run out of room so it's either up on the auction block or over to my rental unit for now...
