In another thread long ago a group of liberals were suggesting giving to the needy while getting nothing but good felings for the effort.

I would like to suggest that a gift of a Bvlgari SAVE THE CHILDREN 1-band ring in sterling silver with black ceramic. The 2010 second edition ring is $370, $75 of which is donated to the Save the Children campaign covers "two birds with one stone".

I am sure that there are other quality gifts available that meet these same objectives (good design and charity) and I would be interested in seeing what other DAer's have discovered along these lines.

This is a yearly offering from Bvlgari and seems worthy to me. My fiancée was happy to receive the pendant and ring last year for Christmas (yes now you know that the Ark is a man and does on a rare occasion support charity outside the United States).

Merry Christmas

Actual title
Arthur Sixpence,
Yes I did call myself the Ark (this is what they call me on this forum). In reality I am known by some as the "Keeper of the Ark". This is a name that was given to me a time ago by a major design retailer because I generally own two or more of everything. Another retailer in Soho described my home as the wikipedia of design!
Collecting is my passion and I do not limit myself to strictly furniture and design objects. As I said in another post, think of Citizen Kane without being lonely. More is better. It is good to be me and I know that I am fortunate.
Merry Christmas
postscript: If you live in the UK the guys at Stevenson Brothers (rocking horses) and Arash & Kelly are friends of mine (also Swaine Adeney Brigg - a collection of umbrellas), but they know me by my given name.
Happy Boxing Day

Jelly jars
WoofWoof,
I believe that the jelly jars are a collecting passion of Olive for her consumption of pedestrian wine.

Pedestrian wine
And may I remind all DAers at this time of year especially that wine is only to be consumed by pedestrians. Be careful out there.
