Lunchbox ( love that name by the way )
Like most things there is good aboriginal art and really bad aboriginal art.
The 4 images of have shown are very good artists and the secondary market shows that in their sales
More is more in the Aboriginal Art world, in other words buy big canvases.
The top 2 images cost me $450AUD (the green one) and the other was $1000AUD
But bargains are everyhere
I don't use alot of Aboriginal Art on my walls as I rotate them between a few spaces. They have beautiful colours and are generally very well constructed. I buy & buy & buy, so I stockpile and hardly ever sell as they are too hard to part with

The Hendrix piece
is by David Choe, as are the other two in that group.
The others are (top to bottom) Walter Kober, Peter Tunney, Mark Kostabi, Saber, Kostabi again, Jesse Williamson, Bernard Matussiere, and Anonymous/Unknown.

I've just acquired an old...
I've just acquired an old 70s poster of a Hiroshige exhibition at an Israeli musuem.
Hiroshige being the 19th century Japanese woodcutter. His stuff goes surprisingly well in a midcentury setting.

I really like the piece over your white sofa. What can you tell us about it?

I say go with what you like....
I say go with what you like. I collect a few particular artists, William Gear, Roy Turner Durrant, John Brunsdon, Brian Rice, Douglas Swan and a few others. Some of the colours clash, some of the sizes clash but who cares? I enjoy looking at them all every day and that is what art is all about!
Here are a few of my fav pieces..

Fast Forward,
The piece over the white sofa is an oil on board of the Geneva skyline by Geneva artist Angela Baumeister. I found it at the Plainpalais flea market in Geneva. It had originally been hanging in the UBS bank building.

a few
here's a few i have around the house. we have limited wall space in this house, so things rotate often and some even get forgotten in storage.
"buy with your eye" is the best advice i think. if you like it, it will work!
