It looks like an homage to Charles and Rae Eames' famed Easy Chair. The truck was at the Detroit Auto Show. It is pictured in this months Automobile Magazine.

Ford's design director is Peter Horbury; he recently was promoted from their Volvo group. After the Jacobsen-inspired interiors in the S40/V50 and the new S80, it doesn't surprise me that mid-century mania is spreading to Ford.
The S40 interior is pretty well executed.
The Super Chief concept is gloriously absurd. A limo for the J.R. Ewing set.

If he's come from Volvo,...
If he's come from Volvo, then he's gotten the Volvo obsession with safety fast. Those stools in the back would be murder in case anyone crashed in that car. 🙂
