I recently won a lovely coffee table an auction overseas and was quoted a rather large price to ship to the USA. Has anyone gone through this before and found a cheap alternative? I am willing to have it ship by cargo freight by sea.
Thanks
Randy

Try a company called "art...
Try a company called "art move"...get it export wrapped and shipped.
I have used them...their communication can be poor and they can be expensive but I reckon they can do it. I had them ship a desk to Ireland and it was packed immaculately.

Where in Sweden?
Where is the item?
If its in south of Sweden there is a great company called Packman in Copenhagen that packs and ship by boat or air to anywhere in the world for a reasonable sum.

Where in Sweden?
The item is in Norrkoping, south of Stockholm. I will look into Packman.
Thus far only one company (ArtMove) provided a quote to ship by air but it was almost 3 times the amount. There are some great items at auction but it is unfortunate that bringing them to the U.S. is a bit expensive.

JH transport
If you bought it at Lauritz you can always check with JH transport in Denmark.
They drive there regualary and could at least bring the piece to Denamrk where you would have more options.

This kind of considerably...
This kind of considerably merely one firm furnished a new quotation to ship simply by atmosphere but it had been pretty much less than six situations just how much. There are numerous great items with public sale but it can be unfortunate that will getting those to the actual You. S. is often a tad high priced.

FedEx might be the best bet at this point.

Packman
I received a quote from Packman and they are thus far the most reasonable amongst others. I will be going with them. Thank you all for the help.
