Born to Lose
Dyslexia: curse or blessing? Sorry, but every time this thread appears at the top of the menu, I think, just for a second, that it's about Ray Charles, recorded live at the Eames Lounge.

What I Mean By That...
I realize that my 2005 chair is not "vintage", and my connection to the era whence it sprang is vicarious. But, I don't need to be constantly reminded of that fact. I am enamoured with the history of the design, and the genius of its creators, not with the the intrinsic immediacy of its possession. In my opinion, the best way to honor its 50th anniversary is to remian true to the the original, not to cheapen its sublimity by pretending that bling and pomp is neccessary in order to entice individuals to purchase it. I guess the Liberace Edition just isn't for me.
