You also write like my 5-year-old. Don't edit it, Art - everyone will know.
Alright, I'm done. Off to Home Depot.

Who's the boss?
The "boss(es) around here" would be Alix and Patrick. They have posted forum guidelines, the very first one of which is: "Respect and courtesy are essential."

AHH how funny we little foreigners are trying to speak another language.... I responded to your particular thread Tim because all you ever do is ask for Id,s or help that seems to suggest you have done no research. The last post I remeber was about drilling holes into a Nelson sideboard and now you want to alter another one. I am quite happy to be the outcast when it comes to this particular point.
Ps I hope my english is good enough for you woof and jesgord but if not feel free to laugh away but just remeber this is a Belgian site written in English.

Research
on a matter of research, which comes up a lot on the forum.
How is asking here somehow NOT counted as research, why is it only valid research if it comes from another source ?
If everyone went elsewhere the forum would probably cease to exist.

All kidding aside
Is it OK to change the color of my Nelson credenza's masonite sliding doors to the Pantone 2011 Color of the Year?

Arthur
Arthur, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm only making fun of you because you're being a snob. Trust me, I wouldn't tease you if you were being courteous and helpful. I moved to Spain when I was 20 years old and lived there for 2 years. I understand the challenges of expressing yourself in a language that is not your native one. But here's a word of advice. If you're going to try to be snide to a native speaker in his own language, proofread. If you don't, it loses the effect and makes you look silly.
Regarding "research", I completely agree with robert. The whole point of a forum is to discuss and learn. Doesn't that usually start with a question? Let's take a look at what the forum front page has to say about it:
"An unidentified design object or a question, a comment about modern or post-modern design? Share your questions and reflections in this forum. The most important here is the sharing of knowledge."
Looks like the forum guidelines agree with me. This is a great forum with a lot of helpful, knowledgeable people. When you make abrasive, rude comments to less experienced members, it makes the whole forum look bad. That's not fair to the rest of the members and only puts off interested people who are trying to learn.

This is getting silly but you are a waste of time on this forum you only ever come on to take and never give back. Your questions can I paint a sideboard where can I get handles seriously just google for the easy stuff. Paint it if you want paint it pink with yellow spots I really couldnt give a monkeys now.
I think even though my writing is no perfect you could understand every word you chose to mock it which makes you the snob.
Thats it Im done bon noel.

Not trying to mock you or...
Not trying to mock you or start anything, really, mostly just an observation. I can see how it might not go over very well and I'm sorry about that.
