Sourcebook of Modern Furniture identifies the original as:
437 Chair
1959
Pierre Paulin
Manufacturer: Arifort
Frame: Chrome plated steel
Shell: Double shell of molded laminated wood; upholstered in polyfoam and fabic.
However, the image shows a padded and upholstered chair, with thicker shells in the image you have. I'm assuming those are knock offs.

Look at those...then look at these real Paulin chairs as a point of comparison. They bear little resemblance to each other.

If I recall, Target also sold these for around $50 each or so. If you really want them, I would try to get them for less. They don't look all that comfortable either.

im just going to pass on them. the owner was unable to tell me where they came from other than we bought them not new for my daughter...and I have yet to come across another two toned one. The upulstery in the photos also looks all wrong...not to mention very cheap and poorly padded.
also the feet look completely wrong from the photo. they resemble balls or black caps not actual glides...
I noticed some of the higher end repos were not cheap so i figured high end repo i would still jump on them but from the looks and comments they are from ikea, walmart, or target...
