Just wondering if anyone knows if this is a Borge Mogensen chair or perhaps a reproduction?  Thanks.

Nope.  Nice chair, though!  This is the real thing:

There is one on on 1st dibs, shown to have a Fredericia label, that is more similar to your chair.

The same shop also has the chair Spanky posted.

Here is another that is similar, or possibly the same, although I think there might be a difference in shape, but it is really hard to tell given the angle of the photos.

Woody: can we get some more photos from different angles?

Thanks all for your responses.  The chair is marked Stouby which search turns up a number of Mogensen-esque designs.  Anyone know more about this company?

The assertions I have seen made in the past about Stouby is that they make decent quality versions of Mogensen designs, but not under license. So, a knock-off I guess.

Børge Mogensens 2xxxx sofas and easy chairs for Fredericia can be quite confusing. It’s nearly impossible (to me at least) to remember the different production codes. Some are still in production, and some not. Furthermore, in Denmark alone, we’ve got at least three or four companies who produce knock offs of Mogensens design.

To make it even more confusing, some of Fredericias chairs is attributed to Børge Mogensen son, Peter Mogensen (ex. 2334. my 1st picture). This is the one-seater version of Børge Mogensens 2- and 3-seater sofa.

In Woodywoods picture it looks like the chair has a straight back. It is not a Mogensen (neither father nor son). It is sold as “Børge Mogensen 2211” on tons of replica sites. Mogensens original design was for a 2 and a 3-seater sofa (2212/2213, my 2nd picture). To my knowledge, there has never been an original 2211.

Spanky’s picture is of the 2207 (my 3rd picture), which were/is made in a 2- and – 3-seater as well (2208/2209)
tchp's first picture looks like the 2421. the second picture is the 2207.
leif ericsons chair is the 2521. I believe that the only difference to this, and the 2421 is that the 2521 is upholstered with fabric, and the 2421 with leather.
This was just a brief run-through of some of Mogensens 2xxx furniture for Fredericia. There are a lot more, but I think this post is already confusing as it is.

Just to add to the confusion, here's some pictures of danish knock-off manufacurers furniture :-/
Can you tell the difference from the originals?
1. Thams
2. Stouby
3. Mogens Hansen

I do love all of the pieces from this line that Mogensen did for Fredericia.  The wingback chairs, sofa, and lounge chairs all look so fantastic together, in the black leather or deep red colored leather.
