Is there a decent wat to figure out who manufactured a Cesca chair? I think these have been produced to death by everyone but thought I would ask.

Thanks!

Hmm
I've seen Gavina production (distributed through Knoll) with labels before. I haven't seen a current production example in person, but judging from the photos on the Knoll website, there have been some slight changes to the design over the years.

this example is looking...
this example is looking pretty good. weight is a good lead i.e heavy, the articulation of the back rest in this example also looks good, and the arm rest should be a flat end rod n the Gavina examples not a capped end, though you probably know this much.

I found 6 for sale the other...
I found 6 for sale the other day in mint condition but i wasn't sure if they were real so i passed...i have since found 2 more...
Under the arm rests on the ones i found the metal comes short not all the way to the end of the arm rest...They were heavy and said "Made in italy 7" on the bottom on stickers and pressed into the wood...
Are these real knoll?
Also why why WHY!!! do the prices on these vary so much? i have seen chairs on ebay listed for $300 a piece and I have also seen them listed at $1,100...
This price variation makes me question wether or not I should purchase these chairs
Below are some pictures i took the other day

Whitespike's photos fixed
Dude: Use the "Direct Link" URL from your photobucket page... Or just delete the "?action=view&current=" bit from the non-direct URL, like this:

Thanks! I was using the html code not the direct link. WIll use that from now on....
I dunno on the arms. I have never been around a "real" one to know the difference.
Anyone care to tell me how high the arm is? So I can make sure it'll scoot under my table?

A good example as to how...
A good example as to how knock offs undermine an original designs' value and the public's desire to have them. I like these chairs. I have always thought they look great around a Saarinen oval dining table ... especially with marble.
