Just picked up a gorgeous little chair that I'm recovering. When I went to remove what I thought was a thick old fabric, I found that there were actually several layers between me and the actual chair base. When I got down to the 4th and original layer, removal of the previous layers revealed a stamp on the wood that read Carlson Japan. Does anyone know anything about this company? Attaching a photo of the mark.

Also...
Here is a picture of the chair itself if for some reason it should help.

Its possible the...
Its possible the logo/company is not a furniture maker, but rather the company that supplies the timber.
Ive had a few pieces of furniture with similar japanese logos that threw me off and eventually ended up being raw timber companies. If you notice the logo, it looks like it represents a wood roof and the side section of a tree trunk in the center.
