Can you identify my thrift-store find?

It was love at first sight when I saw this table! Anyone recognize the design or the metal nameplate?
The center portion of the table is a flush glass disc with an eccentric hole that rotates on plastic ball bearings, and it covers a shallow cavity about 3 inches deep. The cavity is made of a matte, silver metal. The legs are solid wood, and the side banding is a vertical-grain veneer.

I saw some recent tables...
I saw some recent tables that were somewhat similar. They were Jason Lees Design 'Recess' table. Not the same table but. It looks like the Recess table is quite derivative of your table, or maybe they share similar design roots.

I looked at the Jason Lees website for his shop, and the tables are so similar. Even his logo looks similar to the little metal plate on my table. I put in a call to his shop and left a message. His shop is in Oakland, CA, about 3 hours from my home, so this is a great lead. I'll post again when I hear from him.

I spoke with Jason Lees
He was very willing to discuss my table, although it is not his design. He also said he'd be happy to look at pictures of the table and logo to see if he could help to identify it. What a very, very nice man!

Thanks - I really do love it. I sent photos to Jason Lees, and he didn't recognize the table or the logo, but he was very complimentary. Now that it's been in my home for nearly a week, I love it even more. It's almost embarrassing that I only paid $30 for it. Mr. Lees said I got a steal!
