Alf Svensson or Robin Day
hello there Barbara and everybody else reading.
I m in a similar situation. Our chairs got the same aluminum base.
I got this swivel chair from a janitor at a school who is collecting design furniture as well.
Since it was in a poor condition he sold it to me.
I know quite some people in the Design business. Collectors, Designers, Conservators, etc. but they don t know and I can t figure it out as well.
So please to everybody out there, please let us know when this objects are seen anywhere. auctions, web sides, catalogues or magazines.
Here are two similar objects I can relate too.

I don't know what the chair is that the original poster was asking about because the photo has since been deleted, but the chair posted by 'williewonka' in June 2013 isn't IKEA.
The chair in wesemael's link to the Design Addict thread is the IKEA chair as far as I can tell---or a very, very close copy, which they've been known to do. That's the one in this Lauritz sale. (Just for future reference.)

Wesemael, that's probably what you meant, I just got caught up in looking at all the different links and it ended up being rather confusing. I hope I didn't add to the confusion.
