Can anyone tell me what these are? (1967)

The owner said they were purchased at a Davison's Department store in 1967. Davison's was later became a Macys in the late 1980's. I'm thinking they were maybe for use outdoors? I've tried just about every search term I can think of with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Looks like you are correct! Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin with a very bad reupholstery job lol. I thought I had searched 1stdibs but guess not. Thanks a lot for your help.

I had a feeling that the whit...
I had a feeling that the white/red fabric was just a cover because it was so baggy. I got up super early and made the trek to the estate sale to purchase them yesterday morning. Sure enough the original orange fabric was underneath the zip covers. It isn't in the best shape but its still better than those horrible covers.
