Hi design addict friends! Here is a challenge: I picked up this neat side chair and have searched high and low to determine designer/manufacturer. It has elements of Widdicoomb; i.e., mitered rounded arms and legs and flair in back legs. But, the chair is sort of gunlocke style and does not have lateral rungs under seat. It is a pretty decent piece judging from joinery and original upholstery job. I'm stumped. The reason I would like to know is to try and recreate original finish. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Alexia
PS--if additional or different pics are needed, holler.

Well, that's what I thought! Very similar, but not quite like any models I have seen in my investigation. Similar elements for sure. Maybe a concept piece. I don't know. It is driving me nuts. Could just be some knock off or a custom piece for all I know. I just have this burning curiosity, and as I said, I want to recreate the original finish as close as possible. Err. The hunt continues . . .
Thanks for your comment!
