I have a full bedroom set which includes what you see in the picture plus a chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. Any help anyone can offer in identifying or valuing this set would be greatly appreciated. The pictures attached show two of the 5 pieces as well as a maker's stamp and stamp saying "Made in Sweden - Factory Number 14".

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Cheers!

Dave

Even though it says 'Made in Sweden', it doesn't look very swedish to me (and I'm swedish). A lot of furniture was designed by US designers and produced in Sweden and Denmark especially for the US market.
Do you have a better picture that shows the whole piece?

I'm not from Sweden, but the metal work seems reminiscent of Ystad Metall pieces I have seen. This candelabra immediately came to mind

Sorry, still don't know...
I scrolled through the picture, but to be more exact it actually shows the front of the piece and not the whole piece, which is what I meant.
I find that seeing the full shape of the piece can sometimes make it easier to see resemblances to other works by a designer. I'm not saying that I would be able to tell you what it is, even with a better image, but maybe someone else would.

nice set!
looks very much like the designs of swede edmond spence.
spence did very high quality designs that utilized brass and mahogany for industria mueblera mexico back in the early 1950's.

I concur about Spence. I've seen some of his stuff at Wright auctions. In my opinion, very underrated, underappreciated designer.
I know Spence's stuff out of Mexico is pretty rare, especially the case goods. I believe some of the Swedish/Scandanavian furniture manufacturers contracted Spence to design some furniture that they could market in the US.
I believe he was American, not Swedish.
